Q: What do domino's franchise stores make in a year? What is the profit margin on sales? Thanks.?

A: Domino's is our chief competitor; we should be similar. We are currently experiencing a wide range of success from $20,000 loss to $200,000 income per year depending on the individual store. The average per store is positive $60,000. These are the best and worst numbers at our chain of restaurants. Our average PM is 20%, which greatly varies; Gross margin is 75%, which is relatively stable. Also consider that if you are franchising, you might have to pay around 10% of your profits to Corporate. Success depends on a lot of factors including management skill, community reputation, local economy, and logistics. Hope that helps, unless you're competing with us.

Not clear if in the final deal if it was 8% or 10%, but sice they bought prior to initial stock offering it may be 10++%. The purchase was made back in May of last year due to China's interest in entering the commercial paper market. Why they decided to enter the market during an international freeze would seemingly be to add pressure to unfreeze the market. Which happened here on Wednesday and pretty much wiped out the immediate gains of the bailout package, http://www.nytimes.com/ref/business/22blackstone.html?dlbk http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/21/business/worldbusiness/21yuan.html?_r=1&oref=slogin The CEO of Blackstone was Treasury Secretary for about a year during the Watergate scandal, Nixon's Resignation and the start of the Ford administration. Coincidentally, this is when "free trade" was truly incepted with China. By the way Blackstone also purchased 20% of Blue Star

A: China is experimenting with the new Economy. They are being very brave and very foolish. No 10% interest in Blackstone..

Q: What is profit margin on sales and net profit margin? Are both same? Please help me. Thank you very much!?

Q: need to determine my commission, % of sales, as sole market.& sales rep - new product - low profit margin?
The new product is portable pillows, specially designed pillows for loving & body products. Higher end price for pillows, but the cost is very high also. The market potential varies 4 the different products, some have a wide potential, others more limited. I need to determine what is a fair price for my work. The Commission being offered is 15% of gross sales. But I don't feel that covers the marketing end of my work very well. I could build up an entire clientelle for owner then I have to leave, but all I got was the commission of sales? Doesn't sound right. Some have suggested partnering but that is a bit to much I think. I'd like to know how to find out what the market rate for this would be, but don't know where to look or who to ask. Thanks for your Advise :)

A: Sales and business development is a tough racket. I need to know more in order to offer sage advice. Send me a private email with details for a specific answer. Getting paid on gross sales volume dollars is a safe bet. 1 MM in sales is $150. I usually go for 25% if I am doing most of the work. But for a low margin sale 15% is not bad. In general I would suggest structuring a deal that protects your investment of time and energy while you market the product. Do NOT work for free! I can tell you the stories of sales reps being ripped off. I was ripped off by a greedy company for $250,000 that was due for product sold. So my advice is to be careful or look for another product line to sell. Best of luck.

Q: What kind of commission structure is typical for industrial sales.?
I have personally been responsible for growing a startup company (industrial sales) to 2 million annually. Our average margin is 35 per cent. I handle all sales calls, inventory, technical issues, I guess pretty much everything is done by me. What kind of percentage of the profit should I be asking for. If I were to leave the business would suffer greatly.

A: In the neighborhood of 6% - 7% would be my best guess.

Q: what is a profit margin on whole sale purchase of gasoline for gas station owner?

A: I think you would be surprised how LITTLE margin there is on a Station Level. There is not a whole lo of money to be made on a retail level.
