A: It depends.. - do you have enough funding to start your company - do you have at least 8 months of emergency funds.. because when the business is being launched, it's less probable that it's going to make you money right away. So in the meantime you need to live. - are you prepared, have done your homework about the business you want to start? - would it be easy to find a steady income job? I would say if the economy right now if you manage to get a job you'd be fool not to stick with it but if you don't have a job and have made up your mind about being your own boss then go for it. fix your credit, have a business plan and try to get a business loan. I am considering starting an "asset management company", most likely under a LLC status. But I want it to be my own assets. A: Best thing is to put each property in a separate llc You can do this yourself through the secretary of state or corporation commission in your state That way if there is a problem with one it won't hurt the others

A: First of all, you need to start a company and get some sort of liability insurance, since it is more than you who will be working in customers' homes. There are many types of business, but I think you will be fine just file an EIN online with IRS. If you want to put them on payroll, then you can either use some accounting software (Quickbook) for all bookkeeping or you can use some sort of payroll service. The payroll service will cost you about $4 per employee per period. If not, you can always issue them a 1099 at end of each year, which menas you don't take out any taxes from the paycheck, and it is their responsibilty to report the tax. Then you will get an estimate on what type of tools you need, do you supply your own cleaning products, or you will use the clients'. Also, a pricing chart that you will get on how to provide estimate for household. For example, is it by square footage or by job duty (like vaccum, clean window)..... if the customer provide cleaning products or not blah blah. Then you make fliers and business cards. Start with your neighborhood or nearby where your current customer at. So you have good referral, and it saves your time to travel. The fliers can't go into the mailbox, so you have to put on the outside of mailbox. Pass out business cards, it is very smal investment to start a business. Pick a name that everyone will remember..... on the flier, give out a little promotion (like 10% off the first month etc...) Good luck
